Acropora

Exhibition & Signage
Acropora is an ode to nature and its complexity. Inspired by the visual constructions generated by corals, plants, and microscopic organisms, this multisensory space facilitates an approach of stimuli through sound, visual, and tactile textures, as well as a profound emotional expression contained around the appreciation of nature.

To date, Acropora has been presented on multiple occasions in museums, galleries, and art fairs in Mexico, becoming an interactive, inclusive, and sensorial exhibition whose relationship with the viewer transcends time and space through printed material, augmented reality, and a visual navigation system. Currently, some pieces of Acropora are part of private collections.

"In what could be considered a sovereign homage to uselessness, there are many exhibitions where touching is prohibited. Within almost all museums and galleries, feeling the extent of touch on the pieces is impossible. No one can touch the art; art is untouchable. But there is nothing sadder, more canonical, and ridiculously sacred than art in an institute laden with prohibitions. Fortunately, Laura García creates pieces to be touched, felt, and to make their way into the sensoriality of the experience. This exercise falls within the spectrum of artistic expansion, where normally art can only be seen."
